- User experience, visual design
Following a UX audit that highlighted critical usability gaps, I designed a targeted facelift focusing on high-impact areas rather than a full overhaul. While many sites default to mobile-first, our data showed that the majority of users are on desktop, justifying a clear mega menu architecture.
- Overhauling the navigation structure with a clear mega menu
- Optimizing the hero area for better orientation
- Improving visual accessibility standards
This strategic approach delivered major usability improvements for users with low digital literacy while keeping development costs low.

Key takeaways
Data over defaults
Usage data showed most users were on desktop, which justified a clear mega menu instead of defaulting to a mobile-first pattern.
Targeted beats total
Focusing on the highest-impact areas (navigation, hero and visual accessibility) delivered major usability gains without a full rebuild.
Inclusive and cost-effective
The improvements especially helped users with low digital literacy, while keeping development costs low.
